VOLUNTEERS NEEDED AT THE ST. PETERSBURG MUSEUM OF HISTORY

In order to maintain the museum's high level of educational and historic programs, the St. Petersburg Museum of History is currently recruiting volunteers. Volunteering at the museum offers an opportunity to assist staff in preserving the history of St. Petersburg and Pinellas County.

Volunteers are an intricate part of museum operations and positions are available in areas such as the front desk, the museum store, education, exhibitions, administration, speaker's bureau and in the archives and collections. The museum is also interested in persons interested in greeting visitors as they enter the museum.

Volunteers interested in becoming docents are also welcome to join the museum's team. Docents guide tour groups through exhibits, presenting the history of St. Petersburg in the permanent Timeline Gallery.

The St. Petersburg Museum of History recognizes volunteer contributions through an annual volunteer appreciation party, annual volunteer appreciation gift, discount in the museum store, and, after 50 hours of volunteer work, four free guest passes to the museum.
