How long time does it take to go through your galleries?
Most visitors spend at least 1 hours viewing our exhibits.
What ages are appropriate?
We encourage parents to bring their children to our museum. Many of our exhibit areas are interactive and children, as well as their parents, will enjoy the flight simulator.
Are the galleries handicap accessible?
Yes, they are. Handicap parking is available behind the museum.
When is your museum store open?
Same hours as general museum hours. Monday - Saturday 10am - 5pm and Sunday 12pm - 5pm.
Are there guided tours?
We offer tours with a docent to groups, including school groups.
Do you have a restaurant?
No, but there are many wonderful restaurants located only a block away in downtown St. Petersburg and at the St. Petersburg Pier. The Renaissance Vinoy Resort and Golf Club offers five different restaurants and a historic tour of the resort. Learn all about how the beautiful resort looked like in the past and how it was restored in 1992.
Do I need to make reservations?
No, tickets are available in the museum lobby when you arrive at the museum.
Can I bring a stroller?
Yes, you may use a stroller in the galleries.
Can I bring my camcorder and my camera?
Unfortunately, photography is not permitted in our exhibits.
Where can I park?
You may park in the museum's parking garage or use the city's on-street parking areas. For directions, look under Directions to the museum in the menu. Garage parking is $5 for the day and on-street parking is available during two hours.
Can you appraise my collection?
No, the museum is not able to appraise items and collections, but we'll be glad to put you in the right direction.
